The class will be divided into four groups of five.
The groups will be given one blank wiki template. Each student will receive one pencil and one sheet of computer paper (to use in place of email).
The groups will have one minute of verbal time to start deciding on one activity that they all enjoy and share.
For fifteen minutes the groups will work in silence to describe the group's favorite pastime using the template, computer paper, pencils, and reference materials*.
One one minute break will be given at the seven minute point (The librarian will declare "Phone call!" to signify the group can talk.).
After the fifteen minutes are up each of the group's pages will be reviewed by the class using the Elmo projector. Pages will be checked for the page elements listed below, clarity, readability, and visual appeal.
The class will reflect together on the challenges and benefits of working in a nonverbal environment. Comments can be tracked on the Smart Board.

A heading (title)
5 facts about the chosen activity
1 image (drawn or cut and pasted)
References for any sources used*
*Magazines are available for reference and for images (If you use an image you must cite it). Activity based books have also been pulled. If you can't find the book you are looking for you may ask the librarian and she will attempt to retrieve it for you. If materials can't be located on your group's topic you will have to select another topic. Son of a Citation Machine will be made accessible to the groups to access on the Smart Board.
